Throughout 2025-2027, there will be a dual running period where existing exams will be phased out and Next Generation ACA exams will be introduced. The exams you are eligible to sit will depend on several factors, including which qualification you are studying, when you registered, the level of the exam and when you plan to sit it.

Before purchasing your learning materials, please check the transitional exam arrangements guidance to ensure you select the correct materials. If you are unsure which exams you should sit, please speak to your tuition provider, employer, or contact Student Support.
We are currently refreshing our qualifications. This includes introducing new exams to the ACA qualification during the transitional phase. Please be aware that during this time, our renewals policy for learning materials in 2025 and 2026 is as follows:
Certificate and Professional Level exams
If you have learning materials on your ICAEW Bookshelf for an ACA Certificate or Professional Level exam but need to sit an updated version of the exam, please be aware that you, or whoever normally purchases your learning materials, will need to purchase new learning materials for the new exam.
